Type Figure

This project challenged me to create a figure of a person or animal using typography alone. The biggest challenge was that I was only able to vary the type size and placement. I could choose which photo to reference and part of the photo had to be included in the final design.

In the end, I chose to use a nice photograph of my sibling and a phrase to match the joyous feeling. I started working on paper first then recreated and refined the design digitally. The dress in this photo proved challenging but rewarding due to the variety of interesting shapes that needed to be captured.
