Simple Leaves

This piece is a drypoint etching, a printmaking technique in the intaglio family. Made by scratching into an acrylic plate using a metal etching needle. To print ink is forced into the etched areas and wiped off the raised areas. My goal with this print was to utilize negative space to create the look of leaves without simply drawing out the leaves themselves.
